Abstract

After the Russian military brigade was settled in the Pattakesar area, great attention was paid to the construction of a church. However, during the construction of the Tuproqqo'rg'on military garrison, it was not possible to build a new church, so the first temporary brigade church, built in 1897 and named after the man of God Alexis, was put into use. In Termez, on the allocated territory, a border brigade and a Russian Orthodox church were built and put into operation in 1897. Shortly after, it was decided to build a second church building. At the beginning of the 20th century, a decision was made to construct a new church according to the design sent from St. Petersburg to demonstrate Russia's ideological and political power on its southernmost borders.
