Abstract
Uzbekistan is one of the largest economies in Central Asia, and with its natural resources, strategic geographical location and economic reforms, it has been attractive for foreign investment. This article provides a comprehensive overview of the historical chronology of foreign investment in Uzbekistan, its economic significance, types of investments, their effectiveness, main investment areas, reforms implemented by the government and future plans. In recent years, the Republic of Uzbekistan has been actively implementing economic reforms and taking decisive measures to attract foreign investments. Foreign investments play a crucial role in economic growth by facilitating the introduction of new technologies, modern management practices, and international expertise. This article explores the prospects for the development of foreign investments in Uzbekistan and analyzes the ongoing reforms in this direction.
